Calling Godly Women to a Deeper Spiritual Life

THE RESCUE:All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.” 2 Corinthians 1:4-5 (MSG)

Calling Godly Women to a Deeper Spiritual Life

Embrace Your Calling As Women

  • God created you and me as women and He has a great purpose for us. (Isa. 55:8–9) By faith, we can trust in His providence. (Titus 2:3–5)
  • Our attitudes/actions are measured/evaluated through Scripture. God has a specific feminine calling: we’re not to mess with it by blurring the lines.
  • Joy comes from embracing and living God’s calling as women. To God be the glory!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I’ve been a follower of Jesus Christ since October 1989. Falling in love with the Saviour, I spent countless hours digging deep, breathing & digesting the Word of God. Thus, my life was powerfully transformed. My heart’s always been about teaching the truths of the Word, leading & encouraging women to live solid, victorious Christianity. I’ve also hosted Bible Studies for women for the past 25+ years. Pushing through my own challenges, I’ve believed, lived & practiced ◄ 2 Corinthians 1:4

For the past 25+ years, it’s been my passion to see women grow into a deeper life in Christ. That’s the life I’ve longed for, been created for. It’s a life of faith, passion and purpose.

Through the years I’ve yearned to hear His voice above the noise. The Lord has helped me figure out how to follow Him, sharing what I’ve learned, cheering others on. He’s shown me ways to walk with Him, experiencing a richer, deeper, and more meaningful relationship with Him.

When Jesus changes your life, it’s natural to want to share that hope with the people around you. It’s exciting to see people believe in Jesus, but that isn’t the end of the journey. In fact, it’s just the beginning of the adventure of the Christian life. These baby Christians need the more mature to come alongside to help them learn more about their new faith and how to grow closer to God.

What an Interesting & Challenging Ride Christianity Is!

Remember those “honeymoon” days when God first found you?

As I reflect on this today, I realize that joy has always been present throughout the journey. Moving from a new-born baby faith to full-grown maturity, I’m the first to say it’s not always been easy. The ups, downs… the victories. Some trials, depth, sometimes turmoil – it’s all been counted as joy. Nothing’s been happenstance; God ordained it all for good, growth and maturity.

His objective’s always been to shape, mold and fashion us into more of the character of His son, Jesus. Day by day, He sits us on the potter’s wheel, chips a little here, adding a bit of clay there. We scream, we cry… we laugh and we shine. It’s all part of the process. God loves us too much to let us stagnate and rot; that’s why he grows us.

Jesus Christ Desires Top Priority in Every Aspect of Our Life

  • We can’t let family become our god.
  • We can’t let our husband become our god.
  • There’s only one god, and HE is God.

God deserves and wants to be involved in EVERY area. He commands full attention and every piece of our heart to lead, guide and direct us. We’re not to settle for any type of part-time faith.

“IF YOU ARE A FOLLOWER OF JESUS, EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE ~ WHETHER YOU FEEL LIKE IT OR NOT ~ IS WEIGHTED WITH KINGDOM PURPOSE, ETERNAL SIGNIFICANCE AND ROYAL DESTINY FILLED WITH JOY & CONTENTMENT.” Joni Eareckson Tada

Calling Godly Women to a Deeper Spiritual Life Do YOU Submit All Parts of Your Life to Him?

When you think about it, the godlier you become, the more you live according to God’s design. Submission becomes the smaller issue because your heart is inclined in the ways of God.

God doesn’t violate our personality or who we are. As we walk under the lordship of Christ through God’s Spirit, submission becomes a beautiful thing. It only becomes an issue when we’re rebellious to God. The more we’re conformed into the image of Christ, the less it becomes an issue as we delight in who Christ is.

It’s WHO We Become, Who God Created Us To Be As Women

God brings together the refining process. Where we’re weak, He’s strong. He’s not negating who we are or our gifts, but rather putting us together to accomplish His purposes.

As we listen to His Holy Spirit, what do I do now?” should literally be our request moment by moment. If you don’t know how to get from here to where you’re supposed to be, here’s how you do it: you get up, and ask Jesus, what  do I do?”  The next day you get up, and again you ask the Lord, what do I do?”  Moment-by-moment, you surrender and take the next small step.

Elisabeth Elliot says it this way:

“You take the next right step that God is encouraging you to take.”

  • If we don’t go to the Lord, we won’t be doing His best.
  • We’re to do the right things in obedience.
  • We’re to walk in tune to the Holy Spirit giving us direction.
  • To hear that voice, we have to be listening and responding.
  • That’s how to take the next step into whatever God is saying.

Look at Jesus in John 5. He always and only did the things that pleased the Father.

Simplifies everything, right? Trust in His leadership and total dependence on Him. It’s simpler than we think, simply saying, “Yes,” to God’s direction at each specific moment—by His grace, by His power, through His Spirit and His Word.

How Do We Replenish? How Do We Refill Our Tank?

By depending on the Lord moment by moment for the strength He supplies. He gives the energy and strength to do what He’s called us to. The problem comes when we spend our energy in other places; then, we don’t have the strength to do what He’s calling us to. If we’re listening, our strength will be in the right place.

1 Corinthians 7 says we do not have authority over our own body, but rather, our body belongs to the Lord. Even when we don’t feel like it, we’re to do it as unto the Lord.

Then Joy Comes

  • Oh! The satisfaction of knowing we’ve done what is right.
  • Biblical womanhood is about who I’m honoring with my life.
  • Whether I’m a 5 year old Christian or 20 years old, I am God’s woman.
  • I am going to be a woman who pursues God at every stage of my life.
  • My heart is after God, not walking down a different road.

The world puts us under tremendous pressure amidst ungodly messages. The way of combat is to make sure we’re taking truths from God, transforming the way we think.

  • Anchor yourself in the truth, and soak in it. Read more, study more, and make sure to counteract the ungodly messages you hear everyday from everywhere.

John 17 “Father, I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but I ask You to keep them from the evil one. Father, sanctify them, set them apart through Thy truth. Thy Word is truth.”

John 17 (ESV) The High Priestly Prayer

I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
